january is almost over!?

so we've been back in providence from being home in oregon for christmas for a little over 2 weeks now and i am JUST NOW getting caught up on life! i've been sitting at my desk for a few hours now deleting emails, sending emails, organizing my planner and wondering how january already got so far away from me.
we had a WONDERFUL time at home seeing family and friends (the lines between family and friends are pretty blurred here) and enjoying all the fine things that oregon has to offer. we had such a good time that we both vocalized that we felt it sort of set us back in our progress here in providence. just when we feel like we are making some ground and feeling settled and carving out a place for ourselves . . . we go back to oregon and remember just what it is we were really made for . . . living in a sense of community, full of love, laughter, honesty, sharing of good food and good thought . . . we really miss home. so send us some if you can!
anyway, since being back we have:
painted and rearranged the kitchen
painted the bathroom
organized the upstairs portion of our apt (mostly)
organized and set up the glorified closet as a massage room
found the missing piece to my massage application (no, i haven't sent it in yet - i have to get it notarized)
reunited with the friends we've been making and continued to build relationships
visited boston for MLK JR day and stumbled upon the birthplace of JFK while walking around with our cousins
played countless hours of wii, pinochle, cranium and other games with our roommates
attended a LOST season premiere party complete with tropical foliage and dharma initiative labels on all the food
listened with goosebumps to an inauguration on the radio
shoveled snow
shoveled more snow
worked hard
laughed hard
and basically done our best to feel at home again here in rhode island
jon started school yesterday and with that comes more busy times. but i hope to keep posting at least once a month (or more!!! sheepish grin).
