ok
so i passed the national exam!!!! yeah!i scored "high" in all categories. but i don't know exact score yet . . . they will mail them to me in a few days. all i know is that i passed. and that's all i care about!
now on to studying the 200 muscles and 30 pathologies i need to memorize for tomorrow's exam . . .
and then . . . celebration time!!

it all begins.my national certifcation test is at 1:00 today . . . i have to be there by 12:30
tomorrow, my state boards are in salem at 10:45 . . .
have i studied enough? will i freak out and blank? will i get all sweaty? will i forget something vital? will i expose my client's gluteal cleft?!
i'll let you know how it goes.
at least i will have arwen with me tomorrow!! enchanted forest, here we come!

hello weekend crowd
since i quit my job i have felt more free.
birds have become my motif. (pronounced: mow-TEEF).
i painted this picture that you see above (my first painting in probably a year or so) in celebration of my new found ability and freedom to take care of and advocate for myself -- even just in quitting my job.
the picture hangs in my living room, reminding me of ABUNDANT LIFE.
and i wanted to share that hope with you.

my new boss has the same first name as my old boss
and he is crazy too. but i have come to the conclusion that everywhere i go, i will meet crazy control freaks, because that is what humans do best.and i will be done with the office life soon enough.
THANKS for all of the well-wishes and encouragement! you are all sooooo very wonderful! sorry i haven't had time to support and love all of you the way you have shown support and love to me. as of tuesday next week i will no longer be grounded and i will be able to focus on my blogmunity more.
arwen: thanks for the oneonta invite. sorry i couldn't come. my husband graduated from the german language school last night. it was kind of important. :) next time though, i am TOTALLY there! keep calling me, we WILL hang out!! i love you!!
tomorrow night: missio is playing at the bipartisan cafe at 8pm. free. be there.
saturday night: rye hollow is playing at mississipi studios. 8pm (?) $6. be there.
next thursday: the velvet teen. dantes. $5. 830 (?) be there.

one last time
I drove to work today. Turned on my computer. Logged on to the network to check my messages. Listened to my voicemails. Unlocked the filing cabinets. Performed all the other routine morning rituals I have been doing here for the last few months/years.I did it all for the last time today.
As of 3:30 this afternoon . . . I’m outta here!

aaaaaahhhh naked hippies in the woods make me happy!
i spent all day yesterday at the oregon country fair. no, itsn't a fair where they show livestock and compete for blue ribbons for their baked and canned goods . . . it's more like a huge saturday market in the woods . . . with people in costume (or painted from head to toe), music, yoga, massage, motivational speakers (tee hee), beautiful clothes and jewelry and yummy food for sale, drum circles, belly dancers, jugglers . . . and MORE! it was amazing! my girl and i went together and had an awesome time. i wore my fairy wings and we painted our faces. we stayed the night with our sweet friend lj who recently moved to the eugene area from san diego.i took pictures . . . but you know me . . . they'll be up here in a few weeks!
i also took pictures of the little plastic horses that someone has tied to these metal rings in the sidewalk around town. there are some over on 23rd (where i met arwen saturday for some ritzy shopping followed by tots and lemon water), some in SE near my house and some over on belmont near the horse brass pub . . . and other places i'm sure . . . i think they are cute and clever!
ANNNDDDD my girl and i went to see the new pirates of the caribbean on friday night!! it. was. awesome! i am a fan! i had absolutely no expectations (since it is a sequel and well . . . you never know) and it was totally great! yes, it is a disney movie, yes it is a comedy, but it was so fun and . . . oh . . . that jack sparrow. the last shot of him in the film . . . yummmmmm . . . so, i wont give away anything (i HATE spoilers) . . . i will just say: go see it!*
i'm a little out of it today and could use some encouragement from my friends since i am at work right now. this is the first time i have worked on a monday in about 4 months! it's HARD!
and i didn't get breakfast.
sorry this post is lame-o.

so i finally had time to post . . .
and the only good idea i had was this:the husband is currently studying german. i was helping him with his homework last night. we were looking up words he didn't understand from this article he had to read . . . one word was "blech."
"blech" means "sheet metal" in german.
i thought that was really funny!
so i started using it in place of the english word blech. for example:
"sheet metal, these bananas are really old!"
or
"i have to visit my pervy uncle this weekend, sheet metal!"
well, maybe it was funnier at the time . . . it doesn't seem so funny now.
how are all of you??? i've missed you!!! i haven't been around much lately and i am trying to rectify that today.
mostly, i just wanted to use the word rectify.
