what's new with tj's grandpa?
here are some emails my mom recently sent out updating us on her dad (my grandpa who has been in the hospital in grand junction colorado all month) . . .Mom called and said she'll be heading for Cortez, CO on Sat., the 28th. Her time at the hotel has ended and Dad will be going that direction on Tues., weather and health permitting!!!!!!!!!!! Turns out there are some folks from the Rehab. center in Cortez where Dad will be transferred to that are going to Grand Junction for some training. They will be taking him back with them in one of their vehicles on Tuesday. Mom will be home getting ready for him and getting caught up on some sleep in her own bed. YES!

Dad has had a couple of physical therapists work with him and he's doing a few things with them. Still not excited about eating, but the exercise should build up an appetite...They'll call Mom if anything happens after she leaves.

Hello,
Mom made it home yesterday just fine. Before she left, she found out that their neighbor, Frank Baty had had two strokes this past week. This is Dad's best friend and she didn't tell him cuz it would be devastating for him. They still owe each other a chess game and Frank credits Dad with doing so much for him as a friend. I've had several great conversations with him.
Frank's wife, Becky works in the rehab facility where Dad will be transferred to on Tuesday..Thanks for your continued prayers.
