we even did the electric slide!
ok . . . thanks for your patience . . . here is evidence from 80s prom:
my girlfriends and i arrived at the prom in all our splendor . . . snagged a table and watched people arrive. our favorites of the night were these individuals that we dubbed "napoleon dynomite" and "mermaid" . . . because that's what they looked like. her dress was one of the most fabulously 80s of the evening . . .

(sorry if it is too dark to see the picture)
here are the girls (with a joshua tree poster behind us!):

(i was not as 80seriffic this year . . . i didn't even know i was going until the day before. but i did have my off the shoulder shirt, side ponytail, leggings under my skirt, etc . . . my friend char even MADE a bubble skirt for the night!)

the bon jovi tee made an appearance again this year . . .

i'd say natalie was the most 80s of all of us . . . i promised i wouldn't tell anyone that it was the same dress she wore last year (oops! was that out loud?!?)
most of the other pictures i took from the evening are really dark . . . there was one of a bunch of 80s-afied people doing the electric slide . . . and one of this girl who thought she was madonna and basically had the dance moves memorized from "vogue" -- she was awesome!
last year there was a guy dressed like michael jackson from thirller and he danced supergreat!
alas, he was not there this year . . .
and neither were most of you . . . next year you shall be there!!!
oh yeah, p.s., a picture of j and i outside of the tent at cirque du soleil (one of the most awesome experiences of my life!!):

pay no attention to the fact that my eyes are half closed because of the bright bright sunshine.
say it don't spray it 11:10 AM
