roller coaster friday
friday was an odd day. full of extremes.my friend j and i went to visit her sister in olympia to go to cirque du soleil in seattle for her birthday. but before she picked me up, my mom called and told me that my childhood dog had died that morning.
j arrived to pick me up and found me crying on jon's shoulder. shanie was sooo old and had trouble walking. so i know she is much more peaceful . . . but it is still sad. she was such a good dog. my mom found her in her favorite place to lay in the sun in our backyard. after my mom and i got off the phone, she had to wake my little sisters up and help them say goodbye to shanie . . .
cirque du soleil was amazing (i am officially addicted) and the day was wonderful, but also a bit bittersweet.
