big bad blog
so, i've been seeing christmas lights around town . . . and christmas tree lots and hearing christmas music and seeing christmas displays and i am just not in the mood. i'm not feeling christmas this year. anyone who knows me knows that christmas is my very favorite holiday. i LOVE getting gifts for people and watching kids get excited and hearing all about "goodwill and peace on earth" and crap . . . but i am really not excited about christmas yet . . . don't worry, i'll get there. i think i am just stressed about time and money. i don't really have much of either. and sometimes you need some in order to make christmas happen on time . . .----------------------
so, as promised, this post will be interspersed with pictures (for tanya--enjoy!) (sorry if some of them are too small . . . i always manage to mess them up!)

jon and i out at "the gypsy" on 23rd. there were some fun costumes out that night!
he will kill me for this, but this is jon's best friend "d." he wore my fairy wings and mickey mouse ears out in public. there was drinking involved or it would never have happened. he and i both got hit on by men at the same time that night . . . (to salvage his "manhood" this picture was taken while he was playing poker).
my lovely friend "r" and i. she drove up from salem to hang out with us that night. a good friend and always ready for adventure!

so, i'd never heard of advent until this year really . . . i mean, we had those little things where you'd open a new window each night until christmas and eat a piece of candy but i never knew it was an actual religious thing until this year. jon and i started going back to "church" this summer and the place we go to celebrates advent. it is sort of cool. you get to light candles like a manorah (sp?) or something every week for the five weeks before christmas . . . when i was a kid, this would have been so cool! why didn't someone tell me about it sooner?

monday, i saw "harry potter and the sorceror's stone" on dvd for $9.99 . . . i bought it . . . i'm a nerd.
but i am waiting for all of the books to be written before i buy any of them. i want to get them in a complete set! maybe i should wait for all the dvds to be released and get them in a set too . . . hmmm.
i saw rent with kristi this weekend. i have a crush on the girl who played mimi. her name is rosario dawson and she is beautiful!

my friend "s" recently got married and moved to san diego (sniff). before she did that, our group of girls went on a trip to the beach together . . .

it snowed in salem monday. it is supposed to snow here this afternoon. i hope it does! i haven't seen snow in a while and i think it would be soooo romantic! everyone else just says it would be a hassel.

my new narcissistic game part 2

my new narcissistic game . . .
so, i recently ran acroos this website where you can upload a picture of yourself (or someone else) and they will use their "face-matching technology" to tell you what actors and actresses you look like.i have recently spent a lot of self-absorbed time checking this out.
i know, i know, this is very selfish, lame and shallow. i said in my last post that it would be. now, either indulge me and read on, or simply click that "next blog" button in the top right of your browser.
although if you stay, you get some eye candy.
