random thoughts by tabitha jane
yesterday at work, it was someone's birthday. so, of course, there was cake. the plastic thing that the cake came in from the bakery had this sticker on it that read: "the moistest cake you've ever tasted!" now, i will admit, the cake was pretty good . . . but did they have to use that word to advertise the cake? i hate the word "moist."i went and saw "batman begins" in the theatre last night (instead of studying for finals. but that's ok because the people i went with were in my class so they weren't studying either). it is perfectly AMAZING. i had hoped that i would like it -- who wouldn't like a movie with christian bale, liam neeson and katie holmes (no matter what horrible romance choices she is making at the moment)? but i was very surprised by how much i liked it. my husband was dissapointed by the incongruency regarding the death of bruce wayne's parents (they were killed by someone different in the original batman) and he wasn't sure what to do about that issue. but all in all, it rocked.
on the down side, i went and saw kingdom of heaven at the laurelhurst theatre. i will say one thing: it had a lot of potential. in a post 9/11 world (how cliche does that sound?!) it dealt with some subjects and themes that really need to be addressed and portrayed in an honest way, but this film took all it's potential (subject matter, really yummy actors, and a director that made another pretty great film) and flushed it all down the toilet. i admit some parts were pretty good and some characters were well developed, but mostly i am glad that we got in for free.
i also went to this website today to see when i was going to die. it says that my day of "armageddon" will be on october 10 2074. that means i have 25312 days, and a little less than 3 hours left to live. how much more time do you have?
lastly for now, i have been so tired lately that i stay in bed waaaay too long and i haven't had a shower in the morning for a few days (i have showered in the evening when i get home from work or class though-don't say "ew"), and i haven't washed my hair in a good long time.
oh well, sushi day it is! yes!
