happy mother's day . . . ?

happy mother's day
so my mom called me tonight in tears.

her mom had a major heart attack today and is in a coma in colorado.

two hours later, i finished helping her purchase tickets for my dad and her to fly out to colorado tonight so they can be with my grandpa. all of her other siblings are working on getting out there as soon as they can.

the doctors are expecting the worst at this point.

so, if you pray, please do it for my mom and her brothers and sisters and my grandpa and especially for my grandma. if you don't pray, send good energy or thoughts, please.

at least my mom's whole family will be together on mother's day this year. i hope they can spend it celebrating with a healthy and alive grandmother.

"My Burial Ground Will Invite You to Dance"
If from my dust wheat springs
And you make bread from this wheat, it'll make you drunk.
Both dough and baker will become mad
And the oven will sing songs of drunkards.
If you come in pilgrimage to my tomb,
My burial ground will invite you to dance:
My brother, don't come without a tambourine
There's no seat for grief at the Feast of God.
Death sleeps in the ground, its jaws bound tightly,
It has fallen down drunk from the opium of the Friend.
When you tear off this shroud and match it to your height,
You'll discover a wine shop in your own soul:
From all sides will ring an ecstatic tumult of lutes.
Doesn't every action necessarily breed its effect?
God has created me from the wine of love;
I am that love itself, although death has made me dust.
I am drunkenness, my essence is this mystic wine.
Tell me then, what breeds wine if not drunkenness?
Around and around the tower of the spirit of Shams of Tabriz
My soul keeps on and on flying without stopping a moment.
Odes.
