the silent battle
here is the piece that i have on display at the urban grind this month. the inscription in the bottom corner says 'split the wood, i am beside you, lift the stone, i am among you.' it is taken from the movie 'stigmata' and the gospel of thomas. the title is 'the silent battle.' i wrote an artist's statement for it as well but i don't have it with me at the moment so i can't post it.
