we aren't going camping after all
we have our apartment back to ourselves again! my sister's had been staying with us since saturday and, don't get me wrong i love them, but it is WONDERFUL to be able to hang around the house with my husband in our underwear again . . . heh heh.to celebrate, i experiemented in the morning (as our guests were leaving--they vacuumed the apartment precious lambs!) with our crockpot! i tried a new recipe and, my pallette being rather impressed, i will post it for you to try as well.
upon my return from work, i found my husband cleaning up the coagulated mess that occurred when the concoction bubbled over the side of the crock. nonetheless, it tasted superb! we then walked hand in hand the five blocks down the street to the laurelhurst theater to see the life aquatic.
good flick i say. two of the beautiful people in the film: cate blanchett and jeff goldblum. if i went for women, cate would be one of them. so would angelina jolie. but i digress.
after the movie, we went home and our "organizer-of-the-camping-trip-friend" stopped by and told us that this weekend's trip had been called off . . . bummer. now how am i going to make sure i don't eat too much this weekend???
